Suzuki Makai Concept Car

It’s no Woody but the Suzuki Makai concept car, which was shown at the New York International Auto Show, has ‘Duuude’ written all over it. Complete with two surf boards, the fluorescent orange concept ride by Suzuki shows that surfers just want to have fun. The Makai appears to have been built around two things, fun and functionality, and by function I mean it fits the lifestyles of the stereotypical surfer dude.

A common reaction to hearing that Suzuki has produced a new car model is to roll your eyes and dismiss the car immediately. But don’t be so hasty with the Kizashi. Coming to a crowded Japanese street near you, the PIXY by Suzuki, is a fun personal transportation vehicle. The PIXY itself is meant for transport at low speeds on footpaths and inside buildings. However, when docked with an SSC which is capable of supporting 2 PIXY’s, it becomes a fully operational street legal (in Japan) automobile.
