2010 Jeep Patriot

Looking to enter the SUV market, but not willing to go all-in on a huge gas guzzler?  Fear not, Jeep offers an entry level SUV with the 2010 Patriot.  The Patriot is offered in 4 different models in both a 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive configuration.  However, no matter which power train you choose, the 2010 Patriot gets up to 28 miles per gallon.  While this isn’t the top of the line fuel efficiency on the market, it was enough for this SUV to be Best In Class MPG.

Like any good SUV, the Patriot sports decent cargo space, up to 62 cubic ft when the back seats are laid down.  The 2010 Patriot is also capable of seating 5, 2 in the front and 3 in the second row seat.  Luxury isn’t on short order either, there are plenty of options to plush up the insides.  There are chrome accents, touch-screen navigation, and leather bound options to make anyone comfortable.  As for audiophiles, the 9-Speaker sound system is provide by Boston Acoustics, complete with sub woofer and 368 watts of total power.  And the 2010 Patriot also features Jeep’s uConnect technology, which puts all of your mobile tech gadgets control, at your finger tips.

Jeep has focused on safety with the 2010 Patriot, offering a 5 Star Side Impact Rating.  The Patriot also features multi-stage front air bags and supplemental side-curtain airbags.  Other safety equipment include Torso side air bags, which were a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  When the going gets real rough you can rest easy knowing that the Patriot features roll-sensing technology and a high-strength steel safety cage.

The exterior of the Patriot probably closest resembles the Cherokee, another SUV offering by Jeep.  It’s height and width are nearly identical to that of the Cherokees, but the Patriot appears more robust.  It’s a rugged styling that provides both aesthetic cues and functionality.  Many options are what make a Jeep unique and the Patriot is no different.  Oversize fog lamps, 17″ cast-aluminum rims, roof rack and side rails give the 2010 Patriot it’s own attitude.
