  Diesel has gotten a bad rep in the U.S. over the past few decades, but Volkswagen is looking to change that with their latest Jetta TDI, a clean diesel vehicle.  Think about all the old problems with diesels, and the new Jetta TDI has an answer.  There's tons of black smoke coming out the tailpipe!  The 2009 Jetta TDI meets or beats the emissions standards for gasoline vehicles in all 50 U.S. states.  They put out too much carbon dioxide!  The TDI has less CO2 emissions than the regular Jetta SE.  They're slow and horrible to drive!  Not by a long shot.   What do you do when you're an aeronautical engineer who can't find a good lightweight, road-legal supercar on the market that meets your requirements?  Build your own, of course.  At least that's the way Andy Round decided to do things.  The original car, which was built in the United Kingdom, was called the F400 and was modeled after Formula 1 cars and powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder Audi engine.  When the car was licensed by Michigan-based Autosport Development, they dropped the Audi engine in favor of a 6.0-liter V8 sourced from a Chevrolet Corvette and re-christened the car the G400.   Fast, sleek, beautiful, classic.  These are all words that perfectly describe the 1959 Ferrari 250 TR59, yet even they don't do this car justice.  And you can add ultra-rare to that list, as there were only five of these cars ever made, with only four of those still around today.  The TR59 (the TR stands for Testa Rossa, which translates to "Red Head" in English, and should not be confused with Ferrari's Testarossa, a sports car from the 1980s and 90s) proved to be a monster on the track, picking up quite a few wins in its two seasons on the circuit.
