1949 was the first year that Motor Trend designated the car of the year. Actually, it was a series of cars rather than just one specific Cadillac. The entire Cadillac Motor Division received the honor from Motor Trend in 1949 because of the sweeping changes they made that year.

Toyota has recently introduced the new upgraded version of the Matrix that will be available in 2009. The Matrix will be made available to the public three trim levels. The trim levels are the Standard, S and the XRS. The 2009 Toyota Matrix will also offer the choice of all-wheel drive on the new S grade. The 2009 Matrix gives buyers the option of two different engines as well as a new five-speed manual transmission or a four speed transmission or a five speed automatic transmissions. Speculation is raging that Pontiac is planning to release a new muscle car, following the introduction of the newest car from Holden in Australia. This company has long worked with GM and there are many who believe that this model may be identical to one that Pontiac will release in the States soon.
